Practice Reopening Guidelines & Safety Procedures

As we begin the process of reopening our practice after the COVID-19 Crisis, we want to give our customers an update on the precautions our office is taking to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff. 

 

Please note:  All business and visits must be done by appointment.  This includes appointments and office visits for any other reasons.

Patient Guidelines for Appointments

Effective June 1, 2020

  • Only persons with appointments will be able to enter practice.  No walk-in services are able to be accommodated.

  • Please arrive NO SOONER than 10 minutes prior to your appointment

  • Upon arrival, please text 978.482.7211

    • (Please note:  this number is ONLY for arrival announcements at the practice.  We do not monitor this number for texts after hours.  If you need immediate attention, have questions or it is an emergency, please call the practice at: 978.474.0507)

  • A member of our staff will greet you at the front door.

  • We will take the temperature of all persons entering the building.  If you have a temperature of 100.4 or higher, we will reschedule your appointment

  • Please limit the number of people at your appointment to ONLY the patient (and one parent or guardian when necessary).

  • All persons entering the building will be required to wear a mask or face covering except during their treatment.

Please note:  If you have a fever or any cold/virus symptoms, please call and cancel your appointment PRIOR to coming to the practice.

Prior to Your Appointment

Two to Three days prior to your appointment, you will receive a phone call from our office with instructions on what steps need to be taken for your scheduled appointment. 

 

At this time, please make us aware of any changes to your dental insurance.  *Please note that you will be responsible for any additional charges that are not covered by insurance.

 

We are asking payments be made by phone, prior to your appointment to limit on-site contact

The Day of Your Appointment

Prior to coming to the practice, if you have symptoms of cough, respiratory distress, or a fever, we will require you to reschedule your appointment.  If you have been in close contact with a COVID-19 patient or have traveled out of the country recently, we also ask you to reschedule your appointment.

 

You will be asked to fill out a Patient Screening Form prior to entering the practice.  You can download and print the form here.  If you choose to fill out the form prior to arrival at our practice, please do so on the Day of your appointment, and not any earlier.  Copies will also be available upon your arrival.

 

Arriving for Your Appointment

Upon arrival, we ask that you remain in your car until the time of your appointment.  We require that all patients wear a mask or face covering upon arrival at their appointment.  Masks can not be provided for you, by the practice.

 

At the time of your appointment, please text:  978.482.7211 (Please note:  this number is ONLY for arrival announcements at the practice.  We do not monitor this number for texts after hours.  If you need immediate attention, have questions or it is an emergency, please call the practice at: 978.474.0507) and proceed to the front door of the practice.  If you do not have texting ability, please call 978.474.0507 and inform us of your arrival.  A staff member will then meet you at the door.  At that time:

  • We require that all patients wear a mask or face covering upon arrival at their appointment.  Masks can not be provided for you, by the practice.

  • Your temperature will be checked with a touchless infrared thermometer prior to entering the building by a member of our staff

  • Patients will be required to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire (see above) prior to their appointment.

  • Patients will be required to wash and/or sanitize hands upon entering practice.

Practice Health & Safety Precautions

We are strictly following CDC, MDA and ADA guidelines for cleaning, safety and sanitization. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Patients must attend appointments alone, except for instances where the patient requires assistance (pediatric patients, people with special needs, elderly patients)

  • A front desk hand sanitation station is available for your use upon entering

  • Front desk check-in and check-out have a plexi-glass barrier

  • Practice staff are equipped with full PPE, including N-95 and/or KN-95 masks, gloves, surgical gowns and face shields

  • Ongoing cleaning and disinfecting door handles, counters, reception room areas

  • Individual examination rooms are disinfected after every patient treatment, including all surfaces, instrumentation, door handles, and equipment

  • Air purifiers will be in all work spaces and front office area

  • All instruments are fully sterilized prior to patient use

  • Hand Sanitizer is available in multiple areas of our office

  • We are observing social distance guidelines by limiting the number of patients in the office at any time and minimizing personal contact
